Following the statement from the government this evening, the Committee have decided to immediately suspend all league competitions until further notice to avoid unnecessary travel between towns in our area.
We appreciate that this will be disappointing to many of you but hope you agree that in these unprecedented times we all need to take action to try and limit the spread of the virus and protect relatives and friends who are more vulnerable. This will also avoid unnecessary additional pressure on individuals to make difficult choices.
The suspension extends to the Chilver's Cup which we will look to re-arrange in the Autumn.
The season will be extended to enable matches to be concluded when we have a clearer picture of the situation. We will also be looking to postpone the Presentation Event until September when we can hopefully kick off the new season and celebrate this year's winners along with life returning to some sort of normality.
As the situation becomes clearer and the government pubish updated advice that we can move away from social distancings, we will update clubs via email, the website and facebook page If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to me or any other members of the Committee.
