The Coventry Badminton Association Presentation evening will take place this year at the Standard Triumph Club in Coventry on Friday May 24th, 7.15pm for 7.45pm
The cost of the event is £16.00, tickets will not be distributed but clubs are asked to identify confirmed attendees to Martin Wheatley via firstname.lastname@example.org or 0742 343 2073 and 02476 381114.
A vegetarian meal option is available and again it is important that those requiring such meals clearly identify this as soon as possible.
Payment for all attendees must be made by no later than Friday May 10th, cheques must be made payable to the Coventry Badminton Association and can be sent either to Martin Wheatley or preferably to the Association Treasurer Mr Nick Pettman (contact details on the website).

Presentation Evening Organiser
Please be aware that Match Cards are now available to download from the “Downloads” page of the website as from today.
As it’s getting towards the end of the current season, the time is right to find and return any trophies that were presented to you at last year’s Presentation Evening. If you have a trophy or trophies then please return them, cleaned if possible, to any Committee Member as soon as possible.

The AGM is scheduled for Tuesday 11th June at 7pm, the venue is Barkers Butts RFC as normal. Clubs can send as many representatives as they like but each club is only allowed a maximum of 2 votes on any changes that require voting on.
It would also appear that there may well be vacancies on the Committee this year so please ask / cajole your members to see whether anyone is interested in taking up a position this year. It is vitally important that we get replacement(s) for the Committee to enable the smooth running of the league and to spread the small workload around where possible. If you would like to discuss what’s involved then please contact the Honorary Secretary or Chairman as soon as possible.
It is with great sadness that Knowle Badminton Club announce the sudden death of Steve May on the 2nd February. As well as playing for the mixed and mens Knowle teams, Steve played for the county vets for a number of years and was the club’s match secretary. He will be very sadly missed.
His funeral service is to be held at St George and St Teresa Catholic Church, 337 Station Rd, Dorridge, B93 8EZ on February 22nd at 12noon.
The CET Cup is back again this year and is being held on Sunday April 14th at the Alan Higgs Centre. All Club Secretaries have been sent an email containing the exact details and an entry form (click to download). The event will be played with feather shuttles and is handicapped so everyone has a chance.
Please get your teams organised, 2 Ladies and 2 Men, and get them entered early so that you don’t miss out.
