The CET Cup is back again this year and is being held on Sunday April 14th at the Alan Higgs Centre. All Club Secretaries have been sent an email containing the exact details and an entry form (click to download). The event will be played with feather shuttles and is handicapped so everyone has a chance.
Please get your teams organised, 2 Ladies and 2 Men, and get them entered early so that you don’t miss out.
If you have any questions then please contact the event organiser, Seaforth Dale, CBA Secretary, Louise Taylor, or CBA Chairman, Graham Chilvers, for further information.
I look forward to seeing lots of you there on the day.
As we enter the final weeks of the season the committee would like to remind all clubs that they need to make sure that all of their nominated players play sufficient matches before the end of the season.
Should any club be aware of any problems in meeting the league rules they are asked to contact Louise Taylor or the relevant Match Results secretary as soon as possible.
Please take note that the committee WILL take action against teams where nominated players do not play sufficient matches. This action could include a reduction of rubbers or points against the offending teams. If any club is unsure whether any of their nominated players could be affected by this rule then please contact the relevant Match Secretary for details, although it is a club’s responsibility to monitor this.
Please can all Match Secretaries re-arrange any postponed matches (as agreed with the Honarary Secretary subject to rule 9) as a matter of TOP PRIORITY. The new date(s) should be agreed within 7 days according to the rules, so please treat this activity as urgent.
Obviously it becomes increasingly more difficult the later the season goes on, so the sooner new dates are arranged the better.
Any questions please contact Louise Taylor or myself.
A Race Night is being held in aid of the Jon Froggett Badminton Fund. It is being held on Sat 2nd Feb at Copsewood Sports and Social Club, Allard Way, Binley, Coventry, CV3 1JP. It is set for 7:30 arrival for 8pm prompt start. The price of entry which includes a chicken and chips supper (veggie option available with prior warning) is £6 per person.
The organisers are looking for sponsors for each of 8 races along with an owner and a jockey for each horse in each race.
If you are interested then contact Ed Cheung at Central Sports or Graham Chilvers – 07912 355328 for more information and tickets.
Please support this very worthwhile event.
The CBA Commitee would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
